Come to a free introductory class on the first Sunday of every month at 11:00 am.
There will also be a special free class on Wednesday, June 10th at 6:30 pm.
You’ll learn the basics of:
* avoiding attacks,
* balance-enhancing movements,
* timing practices with a partner,
* and, of course, some basic Aikido techniques.
Also, there will be
NO jerks trying to “test” you. (If you are a jerk, please stay home.)
NO hard rolls or falling required

Founded in 1993, the Aikido School of Central Ohio is lead by Claude Geeroms, 5th degree black belt, Stephen Webb, 3rd degree black belt, Rene Bean, 3rd degree black belt, and Jeremy King, 2nd degree black belt.
The Aikido School of Columbus is a member of The Aikido Schools of Ueshiba headed by Master Instructor (Shihan) Mitsugi Saotome. Saotome Sensei studied Aikido under its founder, Professor Morihei Ueshiba, for many years at the Hombu Dojo (the original founding school of Aikido, located in Tokyo, Japan.) In 1974, Saotome Sensei came to the United States to build his own school. Today there are over one hundred member dojos in the Aikido Schools of Ueshiba. The ASU is affiliated with the Aikido World Headquarters and Aikikai Foundation in Tokyo, Japan.
